Day Four: Glory!

1 Corinthians 2:7-10 “...We declare God’s wisdom, a mystery that has been hidden and that God destined for our glory before time began. None of the rulers of this age understood it, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. However, as it is written: ‘What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived’ - the things God has prepared for those who love him—  these are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit.”

When Isaiah the prophet was inspired to write, “SEE I am doing a New Thing” he was not speaking about our physical eyes. In the same way, the Apostle Paul, describes supernatural realities that are able to be wrestled into both time and space for the one who has set their heart to SEE.

One of our privileges as believers is to declare the things that have been revealed to us by His Spirit. Jesus demonstrated the dynamics of faith in His earthly life when He declared, “I am the resurrection … Lazarus, arise.” At His word, Lazarus came back to life, right then. Noone had yet imagined such a thing. Lazarus’ sisters certainly were not seeing this possibility prior. But what Jesus saw, He declared. And what He declared, He saw.

{prayer}

Father, we ask for help to see things in the Spirit, so that we can also declare Your mysteries, in Jesus’ name and for Your glory. Amen.
